ISSAI Awareness-raising Seminar in Warsaw
The Professional Standards Committee (PSC) is collaborating with the EUROSAI Presidency to raise awareness of the International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAI) in EUROSAI. The Supreme Chamber of Control of Poland (Chair of the EUROSAI Governing Board) is hosting a seminar on 28-29 October 2009 in Warsaw. The main objective of the seminar is to raise awareness among the EUROSAI members of the ISSAIs, but it will also provide the participants with an opportunity to share knowledge of the implementation of the standards and guidelines within SAIs. The seminar is directed at higher-level managers (audit directors, deputy auditor generals, etc.) in SAIs, and is focused on the practical use and application of the ISSAIs. Representatives of the PSC subcommittees on financial, performance and compliance audit guidelines along with the subcommittee on internal control standards will be attend the seminar to present and discuss their work with the participants. The INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) is also a project partner.
